01/03/2012 3:03 PM - After the most successful season in franchise history, the Niagara Power will throw out the red carpet for the rest of the New York State Collegiate Baseball League this summer.  Cal Kern, team president and general manager, announced Tuesday that the NYCBL All-Star Game will be played July 11 at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls.

07/30/2011 7:21 PM - Cal Kern knew his team wasn't going to enter the summer season as the favorites to win the New York Collegiate Baseball League [NYCBL], but that didn't stop the Niagara Power from earning its first playoff appearance in its fifth-year of existence.  Kern, the founder, owner, general manager and even bus driver for the Power, watched as his team did the unthinkable this summer, not only reaching the playoffs, but doing it after a 2-9 start.

07/28/2011 8:52 AM - The Red Wings pulled the plug on the Power Wednesday night. After winning 20 of 27 games mid-season, Niagara bowed out of the New York State Collegiate Baseball League playoffs, 6-4, still finishing with its best summer ever.  A McDonough Field throng of about 450, equally divided in loyalty if not in civility, watched Geneva ace Jeff Croteau polish his 1.60 ERA through six scoreless innings.
