Peter Denyssenko
Pitcher
Junior, Peter Denyssenko, brings pitching experience to the Niagara Power this June. The right handed thrower hails from Concordia College in Bronxville, NY (Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference). Last season his numbers were impressive! In 57 innings he recorded a six win and two loss record. He played both roles as a starter and a reliever. He started six games, completed two of them and saved four games in relief. He finished with a 3.63 earned run average. In his high school in Larchmont, NY he was a high school All-Star, All-Section, All-State and Comeback Player of the Year. He was also a third team All-Conference player.
Last summer he threw for the Peekskill Robins in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. His reason for playing for the Power is to gain exposure and compete at the highest level. Concordia Coach Craig Everett said Peter loves to pitch in "big spots". He is currently being scouted by the Chicago Cubs and the Tampa Bay Rays.
